Rajnath Singh set to visit Arunachal Pradesh

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will be reaching the headquarters of the 2nd mountain division in Dinjan today at 4 pm.

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh is all set to begin a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh. The Raksha Mantri’s visit to the frontier state comes at a time when there are frequent reports of massive infrastructure build-up in China near the Line of Actual Control.

As per sources, Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh will be reaching the headquarters of the 2nd mountain division in Dinjan today at 4 pm.

Singh will be accompanied by Border Roads Organisation director general Lieutenant General Rajeev Chaudhary during his visit.

The Raksha Mantri will be briefed by the Corps Commander of the 3rd Corps at Dinjan on operational preparedness, infrastructure build-up, and various other critical issues.

Tomorrow, Rajanth Singh will visit some of the forward locations close to the LAC at the Indo-China border.

The following day, that is on September 30, the Raksha Mantri will visit Sela and review the progress of the work for the crucial Sela tunnel.

Once completed, the Sela tunnel will facilitate quicker movement of the army and other border guarding forces towards the forward posts in the Tawang sector.

The Raksha Mantri will be concluding his two-day-long visit on September 30 and will head back to New Delhi from Tezpur in Assam.
