Arunachal: District and Sessions Court, Yupia grants activist Sol Dodum interim bail in 2 of 11 cases

Activist Sol Dodum has been granted interim bail today by the District and Sessions Court, Yupia in two of the 11 cases registered against him for his alleged involvement in the bandh call on February 17 and 18 this year.

Among these cases, nine are non-bailable, while two are bailable cases.

Dodum got interim bail in the two cases after his lawyer Aga Bodo appealed for bail before the court today. The final hearing for the remaining 9 cases will be held on June 15.

It may be mentioned here that Sol Dodum and 38 others who were detained by Itanagar police for their involvement in the 72-hour bandh on May 10-12 to protest the alleged APPSC scam were released on June 9.

After his release, Dodum had expressed concerns that he may be re-arrested anytime in the February bandh call. He had also lashed out at the government for allegedly playing politics on the issue.

Since then he is evading arrest, and the police is still searching for him.
