Budding authors, poets, find a new platform as West Kameng Unit of APLS starts

An English novel 'Love you so Much' authored by Padmashree Y D Thongchi Junior was launched on the occasion.

Nurturing the budding writers and poets, the District unit of the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society or the APLS of West Kameng district was inaugurated at the Government College Bomdila on Tuesday.

On the occasion, college principal Sangja Khandu and the chief advisor of the literary society appreciated this initiative.

He had earlier provided a permanent office room for the unit and further assured his assistance to develop the literary platform for materializing the vision of Padmashree Y D Thongchi.

Meanwhile, associate professors Dr Tashi Phuntso and Dr Leki Norbu, Advisors of APLS-WKU also spoke on the importance of the literary unit and its benefits to students.

An English novel ‘Love you so Much’ authored by Y D Thongchi Junior was launched on the occasion. Thongchi, who hails from Jigaon of West Kameng district, gave a brief introduction of his novel which was published this year.

Earlier, Dr Vineeta Dowerah, Associate Professor of English and President, APLS-WKU, in her welcome address, highlighted the aims and objectives of the unit saying it would act as a platform for budding writers and poets to hone their creative talents.

Dr Alok Kumar Singh assistant professor expressed his gratitude to all those who have contributed in making the event a grand success.
