Arunachal’s Wushu star Nyeman Wangsu wins Gold at National Games

Nyeman Wangsu is one of the three Wushu athletes from Arunachal Pradesh who were denied entry by China for participating in the Asian Games.

Arunachal Wushu star Nyeman Wangsu has added another feather to her cap. It was a rock solid performance by Wangsu at the 37th National Games that fetched her Gold in the women’s Wushu (Daoshu) event.

Wangsu’s Gold Rush continued this year too as the 21-year old promising athlete had bagged the Gold in the 36th edition of the Games held in Gujarat last year.

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu congratulated the athlete for her success and said, “How incredibly Arunachal’s Nyeman Wangsu is performing in the Wushu, showcasing the art of control by seamlessly synchronising body & mind.

A Gold🥇in the Daoshu (Women) event at the 37th National Games for her is well-deserved.
Congratulations! May you continue to excel.”

Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein in a post on social media post said, “What an amazing performance by our very own Miss Nyeman Wangsu in the Wushu discipline, leading her to a Gold Victory in the Daoshu (Women) event at the ongoing 37th National Games.
My heartfelt congratulations to her for this achievement and I wish her continued success in her future endeavours.”

Nyeman Wangsu is one of the three Wushu athletes from Arunachal Pradesh who were denied entry by China for participating in the Asian Games. But defying such a big setback Wangsu’s comeback by winning Gold at the National Games is commendable.
