Arunachal: Village head meets with accident in West Kameng, dies on spot
Locals suspect that the vehicle might have tumbled from a higher route to the one below in the hilly terrain.
In a tragic road accident, a gaon bura identified as Leki Khandu of Lish village died at the spot at Senge Dzong in the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday afternoon.
As per local sources, late Leki Khandu of Lish village under Dirang Sub-division while coming back alone from Senge Dzong met with an accident.
Meanwhile, Dirang SSB managed to retrieve his body which was hard stuck in his personal Bolero. However, the cause of the accident has not been ascertained officially.
The damage to the vehicle was such that the roof of the vehicle was flattened in the accident trapping the victim. Locals suspect that the vehicle might have tumbled from a higher route to the one below in the hilly terrain.
The body has been sent to a hospital for post-mortem reports. Police have initiated an investigation regarding the unfortunate incident.
