Arunachal: Sol Dodum’s protest postponed due to activist’s health issues

The protest rally was planned to be conducted in Itanagar while raising the demand for clean drinking water in Seppa town.

Activist Sol Dodum’s planned protest rally in Itanagar has been cancelled due to his ill health.

Earlier yesterday, Sol Dodum had to be rushed to the Ramakrishna Mission Hospital after his health deteriorated while he was staging a protest at the tennis court in Itanagar.

Dodum’s blood pressure levels shot up suddenly making him vulnerable to strokes. Doctors also said that Dodum was showing symptoms of neurological problems. Later Dodum was taken to the TRIHMS hospital.

The protest rally was planned to be conducted in Itanagar while raising the demand for clean drinking water in Seppa town.

Today’s protest rally was initially scheduled to start at Tennis Court and end at the Raj Bhawan. However, later the authorities asked Sol Dodum to make changes in their protest rally route and end it at Akashdeep citing some VVIP visits at the Raj Bhawan.

Now with the rally canceled, it is likely that the protest would be resumed once Sol Dodum’s health improves. Dodum currently remains admitted at the TRIHMS hospital.
