Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram celebrates Statehood Day

President Droupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah besides other leaders have conveyed greetings to the people
Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram are celebrating Statehood Day today.
While frontier state Arunachal is agog with the 38th Statehood Day celebrations, Mizoram is celebrating 37 years of attaining statehood.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and acknowledged the state’s contributions to the nation’s growth trajectory.
President Droupadi Murmu greeted the people of both the states on the momentous occasion and emphasized that tourism can boost sustainable development.
In a post on X, the President stated, “Warm greetings to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram on statehood day. With their picturesque landscapes and rich cultures, both the states are beautiful beyond description. Responsible tourism can go a long way in promoting sustainable development in both the states. May the people in these states be blessed with happiness and prosperity.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, “On Arunachal Pradesh Statehood Day, my best wishes to the people of the state. The people of Arunachal Pradesh are making rich contributions to India’s development. The culture of the state is also greatly admired, particularly the vibrant tribal traditions and the rich biodiversity. May Arunachal Pradesh keep prospering for years to come.”
PM Modi also extended his greetings to the people of Mizoram and said, “Statehood Day wishes to the people of Mizoram. India is very proud of Mizoram’s unique cultural tapestry, its rich beauty and the warm-hearted spirit of its people. The Mizo culture is very inspiring, embodying a blend of tradition and harmony. Praying for the continuous progress, peace and prosperity of Mizoram.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted the people of Arunachal Pradesh via a post on X. He wrote, “Statehood Day greetings to our sisters and brothers in Arunachal Pradesh.
PM Shri @narendramodi Ji’s policy of all-inclusive development has contributed immensely to unlocking the economic potential of the state blessed with stunning natural beauty and vibrant cultural diversity. May the people of Arunachal Pradesh in the times to come touch new heights in development under the leadership of @PemaKhanduBJP Ji.”
The Union Home Minister also wished the people of Mizoram on the occasion of 37th Statehood day.
Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma, Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio too conveyed their greetings to the people of both the states.
Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu said that his government right from the very beginning has been focusing solely on infrastructure development, improvements in education sector, health infra push as well as attracting investments in the state.
In a post on X, CM Khandu wrote, “As we celebrate our Statehood Day today with usual fervour and enthusiasm, I humbly recognize the contributions of all in ensuring multifaceted development trajectory of Arunachal Pradesh, marked by significant strides in various sectors.
From day one, Team Arunachal is leaving nothing unturned to make the state witness remarkable infrastructure growth with the construction of new roads, bridges, and airports, enhancing connectivity within and beyond its borders in sync with the spirit of last mile development as envisioned by Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji.
We’ve not only been able to spur economic development by attracting investments and promoting tourism but have also strengthened and expanded education and health sectors by establishing new schools, colleges, and healthcare facilities, thereby giving a boost to the people’s ease of living.
Our collective journey reflects a concerted effort towards holistic progress of our great State, laying a solid foundation for its continued all-round growth in the years to come.
