Ace Taekwondo player from Arunachal Pradesh Kumari Rupa Bayor will represent India at the upcoming 19th Asian Games scheduled to be held in China’s Hangzhou city from 23rd September to 8th October 2023.
She was selected to represent India at the 19th Asian Games after she secured Gold medal in the senior 1 Poomsae female category during the selection trial.
Rupa Bayor is the first athlete from India to make it to the top 25 World Taekwondo ranking.
Previously, she has also secured many medals for the state and the country.
She also secured 8th position in Asia ranking and holds India rank no. 1 in Taekwondo.
