Arunachal: Landslide buries family of 5, 1 dead, 2 rescued

The landslide occurred at 10 pm on Sunday in Itanagar. Arunachal State Police team along with NDRF personnel are at the site.

In a tragic incident, five members of a family were buried inside a landslide triggered by incessant rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh’s capital Itanagar.

One body has been retrieved, while two others have been rescued. Meanwhile, rescue operations are still underway for two other members of the family.

The landslide occurred at 10 pm on Sunday in Itanagar. Arunachal State Police team along with NDRF personnel are at the site.

So far a body identified as one Tapas Barman has been retrieved, while two others have been rescued and rushed for medical treatment.

Nogen Barman, brother of the deceased, and his wife are still buried inside the landslide.
