The Deputy Commissioner of East Kameng district, Pravimal Abhishek Polumatla has issued a deadline to the PHED department for time-bound completion of projects so as to provide clean drinking water

The Deputy Commissioner of East Kameng district, Pravimal Abhishek Polumatla has issued a deadline to the PHED department for time-bound completion of projects so as to provide clean drinking water to the residents of Seppa.

Moreover, District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) has been formed to monitor the progress of the 3 projects.

The Deputy Commissioner will be the Chairperson of the committee while the District Planning Officer will be the Member Secretary.

The development was confirmed by East Kameng DC to Northeast Live.

Meanwhile, despite assurance on clean drinking water by the State Government, Arunachal activist Sol Dodum has refused to call off his stir and will move forth with a hunger strike from today.

The move comes after Dodum’s second round of talks with Home MInister Bamnag Felix failed to yield results.

Dodum claimed that there was no positive outcome of his meeting with the home minister, adding that the government was reluctant to constitute an SIT to investigate the charges of corruption on the PHED executive engineer.
