Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Turns 45, Birthday Wishes Pour In

Arunachal Pardesh’s Chief Minister Pema Khandu is celebrating his 45th birthday today. Warm birthday wishes poured in from Ministers and Chief Ministers of northeast along with other Chief Ministers of India.

Taking to social media platform X, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Chowna Mein, said, “The sheer magnitude of transformation which Arunachal Pradesh has undergone under your leadership, is an inspiration for the youth of today for expanding the prospects of tomorrow. On this special day, I wish you continued prosperity & good health. Happy birthday @PemaKhanduBJP.”

Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of India, Kiren Rijiju also shared his heartfelt greetings on X, writing, “Wishing a very happy birthday to the dynamic CM of Arunachal Pradesh Sh @PemaKhanduBJPji. Your dedication to serve the people of Arunachal Pradesh is transforming the State. May Lord Buddha bless you with good health, joy & endless strength to continue your remarkable journey.”

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared his wishes on X, saying, “Heartiest wishes to Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Shri @PemaKhanduBJP ji on his birthday. An energetic and pragmatic leader, he is leading the efforts towards a Viksit Arunachal Pradesh and in furthering the bond between our two States. Prayers to Maa Kamakhya and Srimanta Sankardev for his long and healthy life.”

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, also expressed his regards on X, saying, “Happy Birthday, Shri Pema Khandu @PemaKhanduBJP, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh. Wishing you a year filled with good health, happiness and success. May the State continue to grow under your leadership.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also shared his wishes on X, saying, “Very warm birthday wishes to Arunachal Pradesh CM Shri Pema Khandu Ji! May Prabhu Shri Ram bless you with long, healthy and prosperous life @PemaKhanduBJP.”

Born on August 21, 1979, Pema Khandu is known for his dynamic leadership in the state. Son of former Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Dorjee Khandu, Pema Khandu took over as Arunachal Pradesh CM in July 2016. Initially a member of the Indian National Congress, he transitioned to the People’s Party of Arunachal in September 2016 and later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in December of the same year.

Before assuming the role of Chief Minister, Pema Khandu served as the Minister of Tourism, Urban Development, and Water Resources.

He holds a degree from Hindu College, Delhi University, and has been serving as the President of the Arunachal Pradesh Football Association since 2019.
