Union Law and Justice minister Kiren Rijiju expressed concern about the APPSC paper leak fiasco and termed it as a serious matter.
“The Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service paper leakage issue is a serious matter. But I believe with the support of the people and with the commitment of the state government, agencies will be able to find out the culprits,” Rijiju said.
He said, “These kind of issues are very protracted. It has large number of people involved in it. We have to be very clear that the guilty people must be punished, but innocent people not be unnecessarily harrassed. When we take certain decision, these are based on certain cardinal principles. Investigations and the team of officers in the investigating agencies must be aware of these things.”
The Union Law minister is quite hopeful that the probe will be a success. The minister did express his unhappiness over the sufferings of the students.
“I am very sure that the investigation will reach its logical conclusion. In the meantime, it is very sad that many students had to endure the sufferings for long time because of the fault of few people.”
Besides, Kiren Rijiju also urged everyone to take the matter seriously, while saying that those behind the fiasco are the very own people of the frontier state.
Rijiju briefing newspersons said,”I want to tell one more thing that whether it is in the Commission or in the department of the state government, everyone is our own people. If our own people steal, then it is very sad indeed. If the bank manager siphon off money from his own bank, then whom do you believe? Whoever has been made the Commission Member, Secretary or Controller of Examinations to run the affairs, they were kept for safeguarding the future of our youths, but after that if some wrongdoings happen because of them, then it is really a matter of concern. This must be considered seriously by everyone.”
