An ugly fight broke out between supporters of two student leaders in Arunachal Pradesh, during the nomination filing for the All Arunachal Pradesh student union election.

As per reports, Rajesh Apang, a candidate running for the post of Chief Editor was attacked by another candidate Gora Paku and his supporters.

Rajesh and his supporters were attacked by Apang and his team when they arrived at the AAPSU office to file their nomination.

Reportedly Gora Paku and his supporters tried to snatch Rajesh Apang’s nomination papers as well.

Earlier, last week, incidents of violence was reported between supporters of two AAPSU presidential candidates.

As per inputs, multiple bullet shots were fired from both groups, apart from stone-pelting. The incident occurred on Wednesday night.

The AAPSU is basically a pan-Arunachal organisation, with members representing all tribes, regions, and religions. People in Arunachal have a strong emotional connection to it and look up to it.

Students, from school to university, make up the majority of voters in the AAPSU elections.
