In a tragic incident reported from Sikkim, 4 football players died in a fatal road accident.

The accident took place at 3rd mile on Dikchu-Rakdong road in east Sikkim, which is 30 km away from the capital Gangtok.

According to reports, four occupants died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Satish Singh, Tara Chettri, Sandesh Rai and Raj Kumar Rai.

The team was travelling in a Bolero car and is said to be returning from Khamdong after playing a football match. However, the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
