Assam: Youth found dead in Kokrajhar tea garden, family suspects foul play

As per inputs, the deceased’s body bore several injuries marks of blunt object.
An 18-year-old youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Magurmari Lalmati Tea Garden in Assam’s Kokrajhar district today.
The youth’s body was recovered from a ditch inside the tea garden. The youth has been identified as Geremsa Narzary, a student of ITI Gossaigaon.
As per inputs, the deceased’s body bore several injuries marks supposedly by a blunt object in the stomach and head. A scooty and mobile belonging to the youth is also reported to be missing.
The family members suspect it to be a case of murder and has demanded proper investigation into the case.
Speaking to the media, a resident of the area said, “With the marks discovered on his body, this looks like a clear case of murder, now the police have to find out those responsible for the act”.
An FIR has been filed at Kokrajhar police station.
