In a shocking incident an inebriated son in order to get rid of his ailing mother pushed her into the Kolong river in Assam’s Nagaon district.
The incident that has sent shockwaves across the state occured late Wednesday night. The victim identified as Ratna Devi Agarwala who hails from Jamunamukh was staying as tenant with her son in the Marowaripatty area of Haibargaon town.
Meanwhile, the SDRF is carrying out massive operations to trace the victim. The police have arrested the accused identified as Pramod Kumar Agarwala who is behind the heinous act.
The accused, admitted that he could not bear the medical expenses of his 90 year old ailing mother that forced him to resort to the inhuman act.
