SKM will sweep all 32 seats in 2024 state elections: Sikkim CM

The party began their election campaign with the theme "Sunowlo Sikkim" and Golay Guarantee

With just months to go for the Sikkim Assembly elections, ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) president and Sikkim Chief Minister PS Tamang on Thursday launched the party’s poll campaign and exuded confidence that the ruling SKM will swipe all 32 seats in the 2024 Assembly elections.

Speaking on the occasion of the 15th Rholu Diwas, today, where the party kicked off its election campaign with the theme “Sunowlo Sikkim” and Golay Guarantee, CM Tamang informed that under Sunowlo Sikkim, SKM party promised to uphold Sikkim’s peace, prosperity and equal rights of the Sikkimese people. And under “Golay Guarantee”, Tamang said that SKM party will fulfill all the announcements made by the SKM government before election which are-
1) All Muster roll/ Ad-hoc government employees to be regularised within January 2024.
2) All One Family One Job (OFOJ) employees to be regularised within January 2024
3) The government promised to revoke the Old Pension Scheme and to implement One Rank One Pension scheme.
4) Teachers who have been appointed before 2015 will get regularised before the 2024 elections
5) One woman from a family to get 4 cylinders annually.

Three prominent figures of the state – International footballer, Nirmal Chettri, former state President of BJYM Bikash Dahal and youth speaker Sanjay Rai joined SKM today.

Sikkim is set to go to polls in 2024 to elect MLAs for the 32-member Legislative Assembly.
