Dima Hasao gears up for NCHAC elections: CEM appeals for a peaceful and fair process

The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa, called for a peaceful and fair 13th North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council election on January 8. He urged everyone to maintain peace during the elections to set an example for a free and fair process, aiming to enhance Dima Hasao’s reputation.

CEM Gorlosa, speaking from his official residence in Haflong, announced that the list of BJP candidates for the 28 constituencies would be revealed by December 17 to 18. Acknowledging multiple applications per constituency, he emphasized the BJP’s popularity. CEM Gorlosa urged party ticket seekers to understand the need for a single candidate per constituency, assuring that candidates would be chosen based on loyalty and love for the party.

The BJP’s election focus will be on peace and development, aiming to make Dima Hasao one of Assam’s top five districts. CEM Gorlosa expressed hope that people would support the BJP for the sake of peace and development.

He encouraged a peaceful election, saying, “Vote with your mind on January 8th, and the 12th, the vote count will happen. In the coming days, a new government will form, working under the leadership of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We have been working for seven years and aim to continue developing.”

CEM Gorlosa mentioned the upcoming manifesto, to be released in a few days, outlining the BJP’s plans for the next five years. He concluded, “In the coming days, we need to make Dima Hasao strong.”
