Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb brushed aside all rumors that are doing rounds about him being a Bangladeshi citizen, stating that he is an Indian and was born in Tripura’s Udaipur.

Biplab’s father has presented his birth certificate and according to the document, Biplab’s birth place is indeed Udaipur.

Apparently, Biplab Kumar Deb’s Wikipedia page turned into a battleground following the release of the NRC draft in Assam.

As many as 37 revisions were made on the page where his birthplace was changed to Chandpur in Bangladesh repeatedly.
