Strict vigil in Manipur following NRC to keep illegal immigrants out of state

Following the publication of final draft NRC in Assam, the neighbouring state of Manipur issued an order for tight security check at the various check posts of the state.
Tengnoupal Superintendent of Police S. Ibomcha appointed five teams to look into the matter.
Tengnoupal police along with its counterparts in Moreh, Machi kept a strict vigil along with district commandos of Tengnoupal district to check possible entry of migrants.
Checks will continue until further orders from the government.
