Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma today filed his nomination for the upcoming by elections to the South Tura Assembly Constituency.
Today was the second day of filing nomination and Conrad Sangma became the first to file nomination for the by-polls to the Constituency slated to be held on August 23.
The chief minister arrived at noon to file his papers with the returning officer at the deputy commissioner’s office at Tura.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination, Conrad said that he is confident of winning the by-polls.
He said that infrastructure is the main problem in Tura and as an MLA he will into bettering the infrastructure in the district.
