14 students hospitalised due to suspected food poisoning in Jorhat

The incident was reported at the Dahotia H.S. School in the Panichakua area of Jorhat district in Assam.

Around 14 students of a school in Assam’s Jorhat fell ill on Wednesday after consuming mid-day meal at the school premises.

As per initial reports, the incident was reported at the Dahotia H.S. School in the Panichakua area of Jorhat district.

According to information received, the students started falling ill right after consuming the food.
All of those showing symptoms were immediately rushed to PICU of Jorhat Medical College where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Eight of the students were allowed to go home while six children are still admitted at the PICU and undergoing treatment.

The admitted children are between the age of eight and ten years.

Meanwhile, tension flared at the premises of the dispensary as the parents of the children gathered there.
