5 from Assam among 7 killed after SUV rams into bus in Tamil Nadu

The SUV carrying around 11 people was traveling to Krishnagiri when it crashed into the Tamil Nadu State Corporation bus traveling from Bengaluru
7 people, including 5 workers from Assam were killed after the SUV in which they were travelling collided head on with a state government bus near Chengam in Tamil Nadu.
The accident took place on Monday night on the Tindivanam-Krishnagiri national highway.
The SUV carrying around 11 people—mostly workers was traveling to Krishnagiri when it crashed into the Tamil Nadu State Corporation bus traveling from Bengaluru.
7 workers were killed on the spot, while the injured have been admitted to a nearby government hospital.
The deceased have been identified as– Bhinmal Tirth, Kuncha Rai, Dallu, Nicholas and Narayan Sethi, from Assam, and Punith Kumar, the driver, and Kamaraj, from Krishnagiri district.
They were all workers of a factory near Hosur, and they were on their way back from a trip to Puducherry on the day of Ayudha puja.
A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
