A crucial all-party meet was held at the Administrative Staff College in Guwahati today ahead of the release of the draft NRC.
Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal chaired the meet in the presence of state Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Assam DGP Kuladhar Saikia and Additional DGP (Special Branch) Pallab Bhattacharya were also present.
Members of all political parties including the AGP, Congress, AIUDF and the BJP attended the meeting.
Among the leaders present in the meet are Congress’ Debabrata Saikia, AGP’s Manoj Saikia and Aminul Islam of the AIUDF.
