Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb announces reconstruction of CPI(M) leader Baidyanath Majumdar’s statue.

The CPI(M) had earlier accused BJP workers behind demolition of the statue, however Biplab Deb denied it and said that their party doesn’t indulge in such petty politics and announced that the present state government will rebuild the statue of the former CPI(M) stalwart.

Earlier, some unidentified miscreants demolished the statue of Baidyanath Majumdar at night and dumped it into the river which triggered massive reaction and all parties including the BJP protested demanding an investigation.
