As the title of the book itself suggests, Mann ki Baat, the monthly radio broadcast by PM Narendra Modi ji, has been a platform to celebrate the collective goodness of our people.”
“This book, with its deep insights, data-driven analysis and a peek into the process behind every month’s episodes, will be a scholarly new addition to the literature around Mann ki Baat,” he said.
Igniting Collective Goodness: Mann Ki Baat@100 is the third book in the series, all of which capture the journey to a distinct milestone of Mann Ki Baat–an ongoing dialogue, which has kept the nation engaged once a month since 3 October 2014.
The first book was published following the culmination of 26 episodes and was released in May 2017 by the then-President of India. The ensuing book, marking 50 episodes was the second milestone and was launched in March 2019 by the then-Finance Minister of India.
In his foreward in the book Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote ” Man Ki Baat has become a platform for the voices of our nation, particularly those from the grassrots, whose stories of perseverance and courage continue to inspire us all.”
Igniting Collective Goodness celebrates the collective impact of individual goodness, on the landmark occasion of Mann Ki Baat completing 100 episodes in April, 2023.
With over 23 crore regular listeners, and 96 per cent of the Indian population aware of the programme, the Prime Minister has made it a point to communicate his heartfelt issues directly to the citizens of India through the course of his immensely popular radio programme.
Picking up on themes that were explored by the Prime Minister, the book is divided into four segments with nineteen chapters, and traverses the entire gamut of the Mann Ki Baat phenomenon.
From overarching themes like, Nari Shakti, Jal Shakti and Swachh Bharat, to matters of national import, such as Atmanirbhar Bharat, Science and Technology, Health and Fitness, Cultural Reawakening and impetus to Sports, the book explores many interesting subjects.
The popular program on All India Radio, Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat was started on October 3, 2014. The 30-minute program completed 100 episodes on April 30 this year. (ANI)
