Sensation prevails at Seleng tea estate near the Assam-Nagaland border after suspected Naga Rebels opened fire on the assistant manager of the tea estate, Surya Dev Nath.

The assistant manager was on duty in the Rangkham division of the tea estate when he was fired upon by 4 cadres of the banned insurgent outfit.

Nath escaped unhurt after he managed to flee from the spot. The workers working in the tea estate also managed to escape as the militants opened fire.

Security forces have rushed to the spot and launched a massive search operation to nab the insurgents who were involved in the act.
