The first ever high-altitude marathon at 10,000 feet in the North-East and arguably the most challenging one in the nation, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today flagged off the first Tawang Marathon from the High Altitude Stadium in Tawang district. Jointly organised by the Indian Army and the Government of Arunachal Pradesh the event aims to place Tawang on the international Marathon map and showcase the spirit of unity and shared commitment towards promotion of sports and healthy lifestyle.
