Tripura high court live streams high court proceedings

The goal is to make it easier for the public to see how the legal system works

In a big step forward, the Tripura High Court has started live streaming the court hearings on digital platforms. This is a historic move because not many out of the 25 high courts in India do this.

The goal is to make it easier for the public to see how the legal system works. They did this during a big hearing on Tuesday about teachers who lost their jobs because of a court order.

The High Court’s own computer experts set up everything needed for the live streaming. They didn’t spend extra money on outside help.

This is a positive change because it makes the legal system more accessible to regular people. It helps them understand how the courts work and how hard judges work.

In 2018, the Supreme Court of India said it’s a good idea to show important court cases on the internet. They compared it to sunlight, which helps keep things clean.

It is to mention that the Gujarat High Court was the first to show both High Court and district court cases live on the internet.
