In a significant breakthrough, police in Nowboicha, Assam, have seized fake currency notes worth Rs 20 lakh. A suspect, identified as Shahjahan Ali, has been apprehended in connection with the case. The fake notes were discovered hidden in a water tank.
According to report, Shahjahan Ali, believed to be involved in the production and circulation of the fake currency, has been taken into custody by the police. Police are investigating the matter.
In addition to the fake currency and fake gold operation, the police in Lakhimpur are also conducting an operation targeting a gang involved in fake gold and fake notes.
