Rikman Momin appointed as State President of Meghalaya

The Bharatiya Janata Party appointed Rikman Momin as the new state president of Meghalaya on Monday after the term of incumbent state president Ernest Mawrie ended.
The appointment order was issued today by BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Rikman Momin will take the charge with immediate effect. In 2019, the BJP gave a ticket to Rikman G. Momin as the party candidate to contest for the Tura Lok Sabha Constituency seat in Meghalaya. Rikman Momin is the first representative from Garo Hills to hold the position of State President in Meghalaya.
