Class 9 female students to receive bicycles on October 13

On October 16, debt-free certificates of micro finance loans will be handed over to 2 lakh 32 thousand women.

The Assam Government held an important meeting on Saturday evening, and has come up with several gifts for the people ahead of the Durga Puja celebrations.

Several key decisions were taken in the weekly cabinet meeting of the Assam government chaired by Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday.

The decisions that have been taken would be implemented by mid October. Among the latest decisions include the addition of 6 lakh beneficiaries in the Orunodoi Scheme on October 11 and 12.

The new beneficiaries will start reaping fruits of the Orunodoi scheme from November.

Similarly, on October 13, more than 3 lakh female students of Class 9 would be given bicycles. And on October 16, debt-free certificates of micro finance loans will be handed over to 2 lakh 32 thousand women.

Meanwhile, a sub-committee has been constituted to demarcate the boundaries of Bajali district with cabinet ministers Chandra Mohan Patowary, Atul Bora and Jayanta Mallbaruah as members
The cabinet also approved the Mukhya Mantri Lok Sevak Arogya Yojana (MMLSAY) to streamline medical reimbursement procedures for government employees and pensioners. All medical reimbursement claims will be processed via an online portal of the Atal Amrit Abhiyan Society.

The state government decided to provide government jobs to the next-of-kin (NOK) or a family member of Army/Navy/Air Force personnel who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation. This will help the families of the martyrs to live a dignified life in society and provide them financial stability after the death of their bread earner.
