A Special Investigation Team has been constituted by the Meghalaya police to investigate the petrol bomb attack at the Meghalaya Public Service Commission office on July 9.
Talking to media persons, East Khasi Hills District SP Davis Marak said that a special investigating team comprising of an SP, Additional SP, Officer in-charge and two other officers have been constituted to handle the case.
He also informed that the police have made a sketch of the two miscreants based on the description of the two eye witnesses.
On asked whether the attack was personal or linked to the recent Shillong unrest, the SP said that the police is not ruling out anything as of yet as there are a lot of dimensions to it and hence the SIT has been constituted.
Earlier, unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb in a room of the Meghalaya Public Service damaging several documents on the 9th of July.
