PM Modi to hold over 15 bilateral meetings on sidelines of G20 Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold over 15 bilateral meetings with leaders from across the world on the sidelines of the G20 Summit to be held in New Delhi from September 9 to 10.

PM Modi would hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President of the United States, Joe Biden this evening.

PM Modi said that the meetings will give an opportunity to review India’s bilateral ties with these nations and further strengthen developmental cooperation.

“This evening, I look forward to three bilateral meetings at my residence. I will be meeting Mauritius PM @KumarJugnauth, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and @POTUS @JoeBiden. The meetings will give an opportunity to review India’s bilateral ties with these nations and further strengthen developmental cooperation,” the Prime Minister wrote on X.

On September 9, PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of the UK, Japan, Germany and Italy. While on September 10, the Prime Minister will have a lunch meeting with French President Macron.

In addition to holding meetings with the presidents of the Comoros, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, the EU/EC, Brazil, and Nigeria, Prime Minister Modi will also have a pull-aside meeting with Canadian President Justin Trudeau.

More than 30 heads of state and other senior government officials from the European Union, invited guest nations, and 14 heads of international organizations are expected to attend the G20 Leaders’ Summit.

World leaders have already started descending in New Delhi to attend the much anticipated G20 summit.
Director General of World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has arrived, Secretary General of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Mathias Cormann, Minister of Economy of United Mexican States Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez arrived in New Delhi to attend the G20 summit.
