Assam celebrates 40th Abhiruchi Sports Day

Assam is celebrating the 40th Abhiruchi Sports Day commemorating the birthday of Arjuna awardee from Assam Bhogeswar Baruah.
The 2nd day celebrations started with a mass jogging from Chandmari flyover in Guwahati to Nehru stadium. The Chief guest of the ocassion was Arjuna awardee boxer from Manipur L Sarita Devi. Hundreds of students and people from various walks of life participated in the mass jogging. Besides, a host of others events have been lined up for the 2-day long Abhiruchi Sports Day.
