Since the last 14 days, authorities have been trying to control the flow of the Singora river but in vain. Floods caused by the raging waters of the Singora river have caused widespread devastation in the region.
Sonowal’s visist today would be a day after state irrigation minister Ranjit Dutta took stock of the flood affected areas. The Chief Minister will also review the measures taken by the water resources department.
