Assam: Two accidents in one night leaves 1 dead, 18 injured

The accidents took place in Nagaon and Karimganj areas of Assam

Two road mishaps took place last night in Nagaon and Karimganj killing one person and injuring at 18.

At least 18 persons were severely injured after two speeding vehicles rammed into each other last night in Assam’s Nagaon. As per inputs, one of the vehicles was coming from the Juria side. The condition of two of the injured people is said to be critical.

In another incident, a road accident occurred in Karimganj town that claimed the life of one person late last night. The deceased has been identified as Kajal Malakar

The mishap took place when a speeding bus hit the person who was on foot. The man succumbed to his injuries.

Following the accident, an angry mob vandalised the bus and created a violent scene at the place of the accident. It was after the police arrived at the spot that things were brought under control.
