Scuffle between students and police at Manipur University; injuries on both sides

A scuffle broke out between the police and students in the Manipur University today allegedly over carrying out entrance exams for admission to various departments of the University.

Several students and even policemen including the Additional SP Operations Imphal West sustained injuries in the incident.

As per inputs, the students were demanding the postponement of the exams.

Policemen were seen confronting students in a bid to contain the situation. It may be mentioned that students have been at the receiving end of things owing to the complete disruption of classes due to the violence. The ban on the internet has also put students at a disadvantage with the flow of information being restricted.
