AIUDF MLA from Algapur in Assam, Nizamuddin Choudhury, has been booked for rape.

A case has been registered with the police after it was alleged that Choudhury called the victim to the Hailakandi circuit house on May 19 and committed the crime.

Reports state that Choudhury has denied the allegations and has blamed the local AGP leader Aftabuddin Laskar for framing this conspiracy against him.
