Police suspect the mother-daughter duo was murdered at least 3-4 days ago

Crime against women are just refusing to die in Assam. In a shocker, a mother and her daughter was found dead lying in a pool of blood at Rangia in Kamrup district.

Relatives of the deceased are doubting the father to be the killer.

It is being suspected that the mother-daughter duo was murdered at least 3-4 days ago.

A relative said, “The incident came to light around 11:30 am (today). My wife and my daughter had gone to meet them but when they reached their home, they saw the door was open. After going inside, they found the bodies lying inside. I tried to contact the husband but his phone was switched off. He (the accused) has a shop in the market. According to the police the killing took place 3-4 days ago.”

According to the relatives, the accused was probably under financial debt. But did not have any family feud. They have been living in Rangia for the past 10-12 years.

At least 10 incidents of spine chilling crime against women have been reported from the state between June 29 and August 8.
