For the first time since the unrest broke out in the state, the Meitei Muslims or Pangals are at the receiving end, caught in the crossfire at Kwakta in Bishnupur. While Kwakta has been in the middle of the conflict for over 90 days, situation escalated since the killing of three Meitei men by suspected Kuki militants.
