Yumnam Joykumar termed it unfortunate for the state government to be unable to send security personnel in Moreh

Former Manipur Deputy Chief Minister and NPP leader Yumnam Joykumar has expressed unhappiness over the Manipur Government’s handling of the situation related to blocking of movement of state forces to the border town of Moreh.

Speaking exclusively to Northeast Live, Yumnam Joykumar said that it would not be wrong to say that Moreh is out of Manipur Government’s control as it is unable to send additional personnel to reinforce the State Security forces in the border town.

He said, “Today is the fourth day and the state forces are being stopped in Tengnupal. They are not being able to proceed to Moreh and take the situation under control, despite the plan and instruction of the state government. It is a very unfortunate situation. It indicates the weakness of the state government and the state force.”

Joykumar maintained that the maintenance of law and order should be under the state government.

He termed it unfortunate for the state government to be unable to send security personnel in Moreh.
