Renowned bodybuilder Justyn Vicky dies after 210kg weight breaks his neck

Internationally renowned bodybuilder and fitness influencer Justyn Vicky died in a freak Gym accident in Sanur, Bali, after a 210 kg barbell broke his neck.

The 33 year old bodybuilder was trying to lift 210kg weight when it fell on his neck breaking it along with critical compression of vital nerves connecting to his heart and lungs on Saturday, July 15.

The Indonesian fitness influencer fell forward, cascading the weight bar off his shoulders and snapping his neck and head forward. When he failed to complete the lift. Vicky tumbled to the ground and the weights fell on top of him crashed down the back of his neck, leaving the spotter behind him helpless.

Vicky was immidiately rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He died of a broken neck.

The fitness community mourned the loss of a fellow athlete. This devastating tragedy has also sparked a broader conversation within the fitness world, urging for more awareness and responsible training practices.
