Manipur Govt’s plans for semi-permanent relief camps in Naga areas faces opposes from UNC

The United Naga Council (UNC) has reacted strongly against the steps taken by the Manipur Government to set up Semi-Permanent Relief Camps in Naga areas of Manipur.
Taking strong exception to the recent State Home Department’s memorandum, stating guidelines for setting up and operating of Semi-Permanent Relief Camps for displaced persons of the ongoing conflict, UNC stated the step can pose a serious threat that can cause a breach of peace in the future due to various problems attributed to the adverse demographic imbalances in different districts of the state.
