An incident of mob violence has been reported from Dhekiajuli in Assam’s Sonitpur district. The victim who was seen roaming in the area was brutally attacked on Friday night.
A specially-abled women was tied to a electrical pole and thrashed by a number of angry locals on suspicions of being a child-lifter.
Meanwhile, the victim had a narrow escape after police reached the spot and rescued the woman.
