Kaziranga National Park flooded, animals look for higher grounds

World famous Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve is under water.
The National Park which is also a UNESCO heritage site and home to the one-horned rhino and several other wild animals, has the Brahmaputra, Diphlu, Mora Diphlu and Mora Dhansiri rivers flowing through it. As per reports, about 53 forest camps have been inundated, and wild animals have been spotted crossing the National Highway 37 that passes through the Park, looking for higher grounds in the Karbi Hills, tea gardens nearby and other neighbouring areas for shelter.
