Meghalaya: Police recovers Chinese-made Pistol, 2 local-made explosives in South Garo Hills; 2 arrested

Acting on credible source inputs, both the persons have been apprehended at the Sibbari-Chokpot tri-junction in Meghalaya's South Garo hills

In a big breakthrough, the Special Operation Team of South Garo Hills, Meghalaya, on Friday apprehended two persons and recovered one Chinese-made Pistol and two local-made explosives from their possession.

Acting on credible source inputs, both the persons have been apprehended at the Sibbari-Chokpot tri-junction in Meghalaya’s South Garo hills.

Both the apprehended persons are identified as Chengsang M. Marak from West Garo Hills District and Sengchang N. Marak from South Garo Hills District.

The Special Operation Team also seized one Pulsar bike and one Nokia phone from their possession.

Legal action is being taken against the two apprehended persons.

Further investigation is underway.
