Assam’s horror story: Father tortures 4 year old, pierces child’s fingers with nails

After the sensational case of child abuse by a Guwahati-based doctor couple, another horror story has emerged, this time from Digboi in upper Assam.

A father has brutally tortured his own 4-year-old child by piercing his fingers with nails.

The accused man has been identified as Santosh Debnath. He is an e-rickshaw driver by profession.

The incident came to light after the mother of the child filed an FIR with Digboi police stating that their child has been subjected to brutal torture by her husband.

Following the FIR, police visited their residence and rescued the child. Police said that the child was found in a horrifying state inside a locked room. Police also found injury marks on his hands.

The mother of the child alleged that Santosh used to tie the child’s hands and feet with a rope and tortured him brutally. He also used to prick hs fingers using nails.

Police has taken Santosh Debnath into custody.
