The mystery surrounding the death of Sikkim students leader Padam Gurung seems to be deepening. Days after the student leader was found dead in a drain, a new video clip has surfaced wherein the deceased is seen involved in a scuffle with some persons.
As per inputs, the persons seen in the video are Padam’s friends. The video was shot at Kazitar in Namchi on June 26.
However, more details regarding this video- who are seen in the video, what was the reason behind the scuffle etc. are yet to be ascertained.
Sikkim Special DGP (Law and Order), Akshay Sachdeva visited the Kazitar area in Namchi where students leader Padam Gurung’s body was found.
Family members as well as locals in the area also accompanied Special DGP Sachdeva during his visit. A Special Inquiry Committee led by the Special DGP has been formed to probe the mysterious death of Gurung.
The case took a new turn yesterday after his brother alleged that Padam was harassed at college and his friends had even sought protection from the college principal.
A special committee has been set up to investigate Gurung’s death.
On the other hand, Namchi SP Manish Kumar Verma who was investigating the mysterious death of Padam Gurung, was transferred yesterday.
Padam reportedly went missing since June 27 night. His body was recovered from a drain the next day initially thought to have been washed away due to heavy rains.
