Tripura: A Bangladeshi and an Iranian national with alleged Pak links arrested

Tripura Police today arrested one Bangladeshi national and one from Iran suspected to be linked with Pakistan militants.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Yakub Yazdanbakhsh, an Iranian resident, and Shahin Mondal from Bangladesh.
Police arrested them from the Ashwini Market area on the outskirts of Agartala near Bangladesh border.
Based on inputs about two unidentified persons roaming around the area, a mobile patrol team of Amtoli police station was dispatched there. While on surveillance, police detained them and after they failed to provide any valid travel documents, police arrested them and brought them to the police station, said Pintu Biswas, Sub Inspector (SI) of Amtali police station.
When asked about reports of locals of the Aswani market finding photos of Pakistani militant camps on the confiscated mobile phone of the arrested persons, the police official stated that both individuals are currently under questioning, and further information will be released after the interrogation.
An FIR has been filed against them, and police are investigating all the angles.
They will be produced before the court tomorrow, said police.
